the gloves

Magpie Tales
They were there.

On my table...why?

Why my table?  Who did they belong to?

 A woman?

Certainly not a man..they were to feminine

no man would wear them

why not?

they could belong to a man..who am I to judge?

I would not wear them

but...if it were cold, really cold, and they fit...

yes I would wear them

are they mine?

hell...

I'm living in hell...

the gloves...

they're driving me crazy...

why do I care?...

maybe she came home...

I'm afraid to look.

I think you have the germ of an intriguing short story here. "Maybe she came home" - the key to the plot? This is good writing.
